Temporary power poles, installed and powered up.

Pricing depends on the pole type (single phase or three phase, overhead or underground connection) and how long you need it for. We offer 6, 9 and 12-month hire terms on all pole types. See our Shop page for current pricing on each option. Sites outside our standard service area may have a travel charge, quoted per job.

All prices listed on our website are exclusive of GST. GST will be added when your invoice is issued.

Each pole comes pre-assembled with the switchgear, socket outlets, meter panel and switchboard components needed for the connection type, plus installation and the certification/paperwork submitted to your electricity retailer. Underground poles include the first 2m of underground cable run, with additional length charged per metre. Removal is included too — once your electrical contractor connects permanent power on site, just let us know and we'll arrange collection of the pole.

We install temporary builders power poles across Melbourne and surrounds, from Geelong and the Bellarine to Wallan, Healesville, Warragul and the Mornington Peninsula. See the service area map on our home page.

If your site is inside the shaded area on the map on our home page, yes. If it's outside, we can still help, with travel quoted per job. Enter your site address when you hire and we'll be in touch if travel applies.

Head to our Shop, pick your pole type (single or three phase, overhead or underground) and hire term, then check out online with your site address. We install as soon as possible or on the day you pre-book, and same-day installs are available when needed.

Single phase power suits most standard residential builds and smaller sites. Three phase power delivers more capacity and is typically needed for larger builds or sites running heavier equipment. If you're not sure which you need, check with your electrician or builder — they'll usually know from the site's power requirements.

An overhead connection runs power to your pole via aerial line, while an underground connection is fed via underground cable. Which one applies to your site depends on how the electricity network reaches your property — your local distributor's existing infrastructure determines this, not personal preference. If you're unsure which applies to your address, we can help you work it out.

We offer 6, 9 and 12-month hire terms across all our pole types, covering most build timelines from smaller renovations through to full builds.

Typically, permanent power is connected on site by your electrical contractor, which means your pole comes off supply. Just let us know when this happens and we'll arrange removal — there's nothing else you need to do.

Yes. We can assist with temporary power pole hire for a range of site needs, including single phase, three phase, overhead and underground setups.

We can sometimes turn an install around same day, but we recommend giving us as much notice as possible — typically 2-5 business days. We'll always coordinate the installation date and time directly with you to suit your site schedule.

Temporary power connections in Victoria need to meet Energy Safe Victoria (ESV) requirements. As part of your hire, we handle the installation and submit the required certification and paperwork to your electricity retailer. If your site has additional requirements — such as council permits for works on a footpath or road — it's best to check with your local council, and we're happy to help with any documentation needed on our end.
